The Bible recognizes the reality of the existence of slavery, but the Bible NEVER recognizes Slavery to be God's will and blessing for His people, though it is a practice of men and women, whether voluntary or involuntary. God wills to FREE all people who obey Him. "If the Son sets you free, you shall be FREE indeed (John 8:36)." The Bible does not promote the practices of the slave trade. In the New Testament SLAVERY is condemned and slave trading damned by God Almighty in Revelation 18:13a;21:8, with those guilty banished from God's presence and thrown into the "Second Death," "The Lake of Fire that burns forever and ever" Amen. The Bible puts slave traders in the same categories of sin of murderers, liars, abominable practices that end up condemned with "the Second Death, the Lake of Fire."
In the Bible Apostle Paul gently warned the Slave Owner Philemon in a letter (Holy Scriptures) it would be for his eternal benefit and spiritual well being to free his Christian slave Onesimus who was to be set free by God's will as it is God's will to free believers from bondage and set them "free indeed."
Men make each other slaves. God works to make men free, if men and women are willing to be free and love Him. People sometimes want to be slaves of others and slaves to sin and devils (John 8:34).
It is God's Will "that we would no longer be slaves to sin (Romans 6:6b)." "When you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience to God resulting in righteousness." "Thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were committed, and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness (Ro 6:16-18)."
Slavery, Wars, Disease, Pestilence are God's plan for sin and disobedience. However God wishes and desires that all men believe and obey God and Jesus Christ. However as God frees men from earthly slavery, He desires us to be spiritual love slaves of Himself. "God is Love" and God wants us to be at least as obedient as the angels are.
Jesus Christ The WORD of God had to be the absolute pinnacle of holiness to hold to the perfection of the infinite design of infinity of the creation of the universe, the heavens, the angels and all life so to be the "Firewall" or "Mediator" between God and man. Therefore as Christ is "our example" God actually expects a higher obedience that even the angels. Though Apostle Paul did not consider himself to have attained in his personal life to what God desired, he wrote always "aim for perfection."

Acts 17:30 "Those past times of this ignorance God winked at; but NOW [in the NT] commandeth ALL men every where to repent." "Truly, then, God overlooking [slavery of believers] the times of ignorance, now He strictly commands all men everywhere to repent [and free christian saints as Philemon was commanded to free Onesimus, a true brother and saint]." Jesus has sent "The Spirit of Truth" in the New Testament and demands holiness and owning saints as slaves and putting saints in bondage in any way, including with interest rates on critical life sustaining needed loans, as the Lord wills, (as Jesus said general interest is righteous) is great transgression and sin against God and Jesus our Master and Lord Proverbs 22:7. Sharia law is already making encroachments in American culture in large ways and small, whether it’s Target cashiers getting a pass for refusing to serve customers who want to buy bacon, or Christians being arrested for handing out free copies of the gospel of John to Muslims on a public sidewalk.
But making concessions to Sharia law over against the moral code of the Judeo-Christian tradition is nothing new for America. We started doing it in 1619 when we began to tolerate the slave trade, as the first shipment of 30 African slaves arrived on the shores of Virginia.
By the way, the first legally recognized slave in America, John Casor, was actually the property of a black man, a colonist by the name of Anthony Johnson. A Northampton County court ruled in 1654 that Casor was “owned” by Johnson, and was his property for life. There were many black slave-holders in the South at the outbreak of the Civil War, and many of them took up arms against the North.
"There were thousands of … blacks in the antebellum south who were commercial slave owners, just like their white counterparts. An estimated one-third of the ‘free persons of color’ in New Orleans were slaveowners and thousands of these slaveowners volunteered to fight for the Confederacy…”
The slaves who were brought here in chains in 1619 were Africans who had been kidnapped by other Africans and sold to slave traders who in turn brought them to America. The kidnappers, the ones who went into the interior of Africa to capture their fellow Africans to sell them into bondage, were predominantly Muslims.
In fact a million or more Europeans were enslaved by Muslim pirates from North Africa from 1500-1800, and whites were sold at slave auctions in Egypt until at least the year 1885. Muslims still openly practice slavery today in places like Mauritania, Saudi Arabia and Sudan.
Muhammad himself practiced slavery, and directed his followers to do the same. Since Muhammad is the ultimate role model for Muslims, and Muslims believe that everything he did will be worthy of imitation until the end of time, slavery will always have moral approval in Islam.
Estimates are that over 17 million slaves were transported out of Africa by Islamic slave traders, and a staggering 85 million are believed to have died en route. About 645,000 of those wound up in what became the United States.
The region of West Africa…was one of the great slave-trading regions of the continent – before, during, and after the white man arrived. It was Africans who enslaved their fellow Africans, selling some of these slaves to Europeans or to Arabs and keeping others for themselves. Even at the peak of the Atlantic slave trade, Africans retained more slaves for themselves than they sent to the Western Hemisphere… Arabs were the leading slave raiders in East Africa, ranging over an area larger than all of Europe.”
Now, in contrast to Islam and Sharia, the Judeo-Christian tradition from day one has been adamantly opposed to the slave trade.
The civil code of ancient Israel did provide, as America did, for indentured servitude, which was voluntary and had statutory limits after which emancipation was required. As many as two-thirds of the English settlers who came to America in the 17th century came as indentured servants.
Ancient Israel also allowed prisoners of war to be held as slaves, just as the United States did with German POWs in WWII. Planeloads of German POWs were brought to the South and worked in the fields until the end of the war. We couldn’t send them home, where they would take up arms again and kill us, and we didn’t want to execute them. Servitude was the only compassionate alternative. And it was the same in ancient Israel.
Moses flatly prohibited the slave trade under penalty of death. “Whoever steals a man and sells him [Slave Trading nonvolunteers], and anyone found in possession of him, shall be put to death” (Exodus 21:16). In other words, if a strictly biblical code had been followed in 1619, the slave trader who brought that ship to Virginia would have been arrested the moment he landed, prosecuted and hung by the neck until dead. The slaves on board would have been returned to their families and their homelands, and slavery would never have gained a foothold in the United States.
But sadly, the United States made its first concession to Sharia law in 1619 instead of being guided by Jesus Christ and the wisdom of Scripture, and we have paid a terrible price for it. Slavery became a national sin, as gratuitous abortion is today.
The slave trade is flatly prohibited in the New Testament as well. Paul speaks in 1 Timothy of the proper role of the law, and indicates that the law “is not laid down for the just,” who will not need the external coercion of the law to make responsible social choices. Their internal value system will guide their conduct in culture-affirming directions. Since the public schools teach against biblical values and work to sear the conscience of students, biblical morality is no longer a concern of the USA government.
"Separation of Church and State" has come to literally mean the veneration and exaltation of the Supreme State Established Religions of "Secular Humanism," Civil Government, where the government is worshipped ABOVE ALL other religions, Evolution of Life from the Simple to the Complex, an anti-science religion from ancient Egypt and Charles Darwin and Babylon Capitalism, enslaving people to interest, "selling the minds, souls and bodies of men" for money! As the children are indoctrinated dogmatically in the state religions in the educational system, Christianity and godly morals have been almost completely eliminated. The intellectual genocide of the children's eternal souls, and teaching scientists to ignore the facts of science when it conflicts with their anti-science religion of evolution from the simple to the complex is pushing mankind through the "gates of hell" in the schools as Martin Luther said. Purging Christianity and Truth from the educational system is why the USA is putting their enemies in charge of the government with the U.N. New World Disorder.

So the law of God is “for the lawless and disobedient...for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, ENSLAVERS, liars, and perjurers...” (1 Timothy 1:9-10 ESV).
The word translated “ENSLAVERS” (andropodistes) literally means a “man who brings others to his feet.” The lexicons define the word this way: “a slave dealer, kidnapper, man-stealer, one who unjustly reduces free men to slavery, or steals slaves of others and sells them.”
So if the early American colonists had followed either the Old or New Testaments, the slave trade would have been treated as criminal behavior from the very beginning, and America never would have been plagued with all the myriad evils that slavery and racism have brought to our land.
It was evangelical, Bible believing Tea Party-types who brought this horrific and barbaric practice of slavery to an end in western civilization.
“While slavery was common to all civilizations, as well as to peoples considered uncivilized, only one civilization developed a moral revulsion against it, very late in its history…not even the leading moralists in other civilizations rejected slavery at all….Moreover, within Western civilization, the principle impetus for the abolition of slavery came first from very conservative biblical religious activists, that is people who would today be called ‘the religious right.’…this story is not ‘politically correct’ in today’s terms. Hence it is ignored, as if it never happened.” To give God and Jesus any credit ending slavery is not consistent with the demonic nature of the supreme state established religion of Civil Government, a religion as Thomas Jefferson defined. Roman Civil Government enslaved men, just as Civil Government is working with Free Trade to reduce all the first world nations to third world status and a new "dark age" of the growing tyrannical darkness of the U.N. World Government.
